Artist StatementI’m a painter, illustrator, designer & fractal artist.
I create visionary, psychedelic, fantasy, abstract and mystical art for the Inspired, the Initiated, the Seekers, the Dreamers, the Awakened & children of the new æon.
Currently, my mediums of choice are acrylic paint on canvas, digital fractal flames, digital paintings and design. Nature, mysticism and symbolism are common focuses in my work.

Take a class with Makana Art Studio!
Project: Painting (Acrylic's) Workshop: Fantasy Tree
Time Span: 2 hrs.
Age: 12 yrs. +
Level: Beginner
Due to new social distancing regulations, we are now limiting indoor classes to 5 participant’s per session and 5-8 participants in private groups, so reserve your space now!
We reserve the right to cancel any scheduled class on calendar, if there are no reservations booked by 8 a.m. date of class or if weather limitations prevent outdoor sessions.
Student's will paint with artist, Cindy Schafhirt, "Fantasy Tree" on 18”x24”x1” canvas. No experience necessary. All supplies included.
GLASS AND/OR RESIN CAN BW ADDED TO THIS PROJECT FOR AN ADDITIONAL $35.
ALL workshops/classes are by appointment only. No walk-in's please. Reserve your spot ahead of time by taking advantage of website secure online payment system.
If you need to reschedule class, please do so by requesting no later than 24 hr. prior to class.
No refunds for no-show’s without prior notice.

Surreal Fantasy Tree Acrylic Painting Abstract Silhouette Landscape

Still continuing test with a newer painting workflow ( same technic than [link]) . This time over another old sketch to test organic landscape elements. I think I found great shortcut in the process to do faster digital painting with Gimp / G'mic / Krita / Mypaint on Linux , and adapt them well to my way to handle steps.

I'll keep this technic for illustration, thats sure ; but for comics I changed my mind. I don't like really myself 'painted' comics. I think painting is great for illustration, but not enough 'graphic' to have a good flow of storytelling for comics / graphic novel frame.
I need to find something else

I'll post about it.
( btw, a tutorial about this illustrative technics with FLOSS on the way )
