Yes , I used the Duplicolor ceramic engine paint. I used the gloss black to paint a radiator. Still looks good after 6 years. I don't know how it compares to the VHT brand and no experience with turquois color.

The original color has more of a greenish tint to it.

Closest I have found is Seymour Detroit Diesel Alpine Green. I've been wanting to try the Dupli-Color Detroit Diesel too, it looks like its also pretty close. Every Turquoise big block I've ever had looked much more green (like the Alpine green) than any of these blue colors sold as "Chrysler Turquoise" or that valve cover. The paints sold as "Chrysler Turquoise" would probably be a close match on that valve cover. I honestly could not differentiate between that valve cover and 72 and up Corporate blue. Add reducer and their hardener, spray with a gun. The hardener increases gloss according to their literature. With the hardener, it's as durable as BC/CC, spray it with brake cleaner, lawyer thinner, etc and it wipes off as clean and shiny as the day it was sprayed. Just don't spray it too thick, and make sure all oil and grease is out of the pores of the casting. I have a problem of not wanting to be wasteful, and spraying everything I mixed up. One engine got too thick and when replacing the water pump, the paint chipped and lifted **Photobucket sucks**

Hirsh's green looks a lot closer to the orig color of my 64 Belvedere's 383. I tried Duplicolor Chrysler green & its too blue. (you can see the thermostat cover I sprayed with it doesn't match.) Tried VHT early Chrysler blue & no close match there. Think I'll give Frank Badalson a call as his paints seem to be good matches. Chrysler Green was too blue, Bill Hirsch a bit dark, and Apline Green a bit too light and green.....I think I'd like to try Alpine Green 947 and 225, although I have yet to find them anywhere.

Looking around on the web, Krylon now has a 5568 Satin Jade that may be close in hue, but it's satin. Jeg's shows the Mopar P4120752AB available, and in a sprayout photo it looked pretty accurate, though darker - ??? Also saw VHT's SP126, also looks fairly accurate but haven't tried it. I bought a can of Classic Industries' K89162 but haven't tried it yet. Hirsch's color seems off to me, which surprises me as I've used their Chrysler Red and it was accurate and great out of a gun. The photo Triggerfish posted looks most accurate to what I recall mine being.
